Memes have been an important part of internet culture since their inception in the mid-2000s. Ever since the beginnings of the crypto art movement, artists have played with Web3 symbols to create memes. The proliferation of these creations has developed a robust crypto meme culture, which has become an essential part of theWeb3 community today.
The phenomenon is so substantial that even the renowned collector Punk 6529 has developed a full collection entitled “The Memes,” which aims to offer affordable artworks to collectors, whilst also sharing fun art and top-tier artistic collaborations with the world. Acclaimed artists such as XCopy, Deekay or Shavonne Wong shared their vision of Web3 meme culture by creating their own Meme Cards, making it one of the most recognized art collections today.

For this unique collaboration, Punk 6529, Artpoint and NFT Factory have joined forces and asked for 30 artists to create artworks in open edition sale, taking the famous “meme cards” as the primary inspiration.
